Ice berg

Only 10% of an ice berg can be seen above the water. The rest is below the water.

Writing a quality comment can be difficult. Most of us are good at reacting to the blog post. Going deeper is the real challenge. Look closely at the above diagram. These are the different ways you could show more insight, detail and meaning to your thinking. Making connections to what you write and what others’ write shows that you have understood the meaning well.

When making a comment to a blog post, think about this ice berg and use it to take your thinking further and deeper.

The iceberg helps you write, because the comment is like any other comment, then it goes deeper and deeper, with more detail. It is the writing process for the blog.

  8. An iceberg is a large piece of freshwater ice that has broken off a glacier or an ice shelf and is floating freely in open water.[1][2] It may subsequently become frozen into pack ice (one form of sea ice). As it drifts into shallower waters, it may come into contact with the seabed, a process referred to as seabed gouging by ice.

  15. I think that before I answer any question, I should picture the iceberg in my head. My first idea is not always the right one. I should slow down and think before I write anything down. Also, thinking calmly could help me come up with other questions that could help me explain my ideas better and in more detail.

  16. Iceberg is a a lesson we should all learn we should think before we react to anything and also understand the actions of others and not judge them everytning has a deeper meaning which needs one to think.
